A LITTLE ABOUT ME:
I am a Niagara-based, Registered Social Worker with over a decade’s experience delivering front-line care, program management and training services throughout Ontario. I served on the Board of Directors for the Ontario Association of Social Workers-Niagara Branch for 3 years.
I have a Master’s of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University and my Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Windsor. I have worked with various organizations including community health centres, shelters and mental health service providers.
I am trained in various therapies and I draw upon the appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic tools as needed for each client, such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma Counseling, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Hypnosis amongst others.
My approach to counselling is grounded in an anti-oppressive framework and is based on a “client central” approach.
